From our experience, we believe that students learn best and are most productive in a face to face environment. Since we started tutoring in 2009 we have successfully used this method. For these reasons we do not offer online tuition.

PRIMARY TUITION

English & Maths

We offer face-to-face primary tuition in Maths and English. Primary tuition is taught by our highly motivated and engaging subject specialists.

If you feel that your child lacks confidence or requires some extra help in the basic principles of Maths or English, or you wish to stretch and challenge your child to move beyond what is being taught in the classroom then our primary tuition in Maths and English will most certainly give your child the academic boost they need.

We teach face to face Maths in an engaging way. Our aim is to motivate students to become more confident in their mathematical ability and apply their knowledge of Maths to solve problems in order to be successful in their exams.

We teach our students to use the fundamental principles of Maths to analyse problems in a systematic way, breaking the problem down into smaller tasks and clearly showing each stage of their workings.

We believe that Maths is no different to any acquired skill and it can be learnt. However, like all acquired skills it requires practice in order to become confident and proficient.

Over the years we have taught a great number of students to enjoy and appreciate the principles of Maths which has enabled them to become successful in passing their exams.

We know that English tuition can make a significant difference to students learning and academic confidence. We offer high quality face to face tuition which is specifically designed to improve literacy, reading, critical thinking and analysis of written work.

All of which are the foundational building blocks required to pass GCSE English. Our teachers are highly engaging and motivated making the subject easier to understand and also enjoyable to learn.

Mastering GCSE English Set Texts

This involves providing in depth analysis of set texts to ensure a strong understanding of characters, themes and contexts.
Critical exploration of literary techniques used in set texts, empowering students to excel in literary analysis, enabling them to dissect texts with nuance and sophistication.

In depth focus of writing skill development including crafting insightful essays that demonstrate knowledge and analytical skills.

GCSE English Past Paper Practice

Extensive practice with English GCSE past papers tailored to the specific exam board to hone exam technique.

Enhancing students’ ability to tackle exam questions with confidence by teaching students how to create strong essay plans and how to structure answers effectively.

Our aim is to enhance students’ understanding of English language and literature, in order to develop critical thinking skills, and improve exam performance.

Science

GCSE Science is a compulsory option, which can be studied in two different ways.

The Double Award is where students will cover all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and will receive two GCSE’S at the end of their studies.

The Triple Award is where students will study three stand alone GCSE’S one each in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

We believe the best way of supporting your child throughout their GCSE Science is to give them the tools and skills to succeed. We know that Science tuition can make a significant difference to students learning and academic confidence.
