For example the price of a coat is £140. In the sale the price is reduced to £115. Calculate the percentage change reduction. The change would be £140 – £115 which is £25. We now say £25 divided by the original amount which was £140 and multiply our answer by 100. So our final answer is 17.86% correct to 2 decimal places.
